Michigan residents, once in default, are given notice that they have
 two weeks to contact their lender to ask for a loan modification or some sort of work-out solution.
 If they choose to contact their lender/servicing company within this time frame, they are given 90 days
to come to a resolution. If the homeowner does not respond, then their home is likely to continue on
with the foreclosure process. The default is then posted three times with a scheduled sherrif sale.
Once the home is sold, the homeowner has 6 months to 1 year (if 3 acres or more) to redeem their property.
