Over lunch the other day with some

retired teacher friends, our hostess

informed us of some new legislation

coming our way to cut our pension and

tax us some more regarding our health

insurance.   I’m told its been in the works

for at least a year.  Then today, I hear a

State Senator tell tea partiers that we

“teachers” should not feel attacked, but

he places us in the same class as the 24 year old

welfare receipient who won the millionaire jackpot

and yet continued to collect food stamps, because

her mind-set involved entitlement.

I wanted to scream to him that I worked

two jobs as a single mother to pay for my

college tuition, then taught and dedicated

my life to teaching for 35 years, took wage

concessions over these years, and also paid

into my retirement fund, so I EARNED

this pension.  Furthermore, a promise was made.

So don’t tell me Senator that this pension can be

equated to a meager entitlement status.

The reality, though, is that today the public

school employee pension fund faces an 8 billion

dollar deficit.  So this “dear” Senator is obligated

to tell us in all honesty and in fairness for the public

good, we must sacrifice and be expected to pay

more for our health insurance,  be taxed more,

and receive less — otherwise our pension fund will

go bankrupt.   Well, how in the heck did we get into

this pickle in the first place?  I guess this Senator

forgot or is maybe too young to remember that it was

Republican Governor Engler who raided and defunded

our pension fund.  He took the money and placed it in

the general fund.  Then the State simply spent the money.

The State cannot replace the money due to this poor

economy.   The legislature made it even worse by strongly

encouraging highly paid educators and support staff to

retire to make room for the younger generation and so school

districts could save money.   Thus, eighty thousand school

employees retired.  I, personally, didn’t want to retire until

I was 65 year old, but one could see the writing on the wall.

Leave graciously and voluntarily, or deviously be pushed-out.

Oh, woe is me.  I know, I know … you readers in the private

sector can’t sympathize with my fate, because you’re in

worse shape than any old union worker.   I can relate,

because my self-employed husband quit working

within his occupation and retired, because he could

not make enough money to cover all of the licensing

and insurance fees.  Everytime, anyone tries to work,

one is faced with licensing regulations, paying taxes

disguised as fees, and having to cover continuous

educational costs.   There are a lot of stupid people

going to school in hopes of finding a job, but ending

up with a just a huge pile of debt from school loans.

So at this time, there seems to be no hope especially

for the younger generation due to government

out-of-control spending and restrictions.

I, thus, can’t really blame that 24 year old girl’s attitude

about expecting government handouts.   Heck, that girl

probably had to pay 50% or more in capital gain tax

and most likely will be broke within a year.   If she

invests in Wall Street, the white collar bandits will

steal her money; if she buys a home she will lose it to

high property taxes; and if she puts it in a bank

hyper-inflation in 2013 will rears its ugly head and

swipe her money.

With Obamacare, we’re all suppose to just wither away

or live in a little hut.   If you are lucky to live in Michigan

you might survive by winning the lottery, or by cashing in on

a Casino jackpot in your friendly neighborhood casino, or

by just watching your grass grow.  If you do

possibly land a government or union J.O.B. you might

get to rent and drive a government motor’s car.

I say rent, because they are quite unaffordable

considering a worker’s wage.   Be careful though

you might get fired for being late to work.  One

can only drive 35 miles before having to recharge.

Don’t even think about being self-employed or

being in sales.  Imagine paying $10 a gallon

per mile or pulling a trailor to your job site

with one of those electric go carts.

Flags are folded 13 times

Last summer, we attended a military funeral service at
Fort Custer for a friend’s Dad who served in World
War II.   During the ceremony in laying this Veteran to
rest, the flag is folded 13 times and presented to the family.

Today we had the honor of meeting with State Representative
Kenneth Kurtz at a Tea Party Rally in Coldwater, Michigan.
He reminded us why the flag is folded 13 times:

• The first fold of our flag is a symbol of life.
• The second fold is a symbol of our belief in
  eternal life.
• The third fold is made in honor and
  remembrance of the veterans departing
  our ranks who gave a portion of their lives
  in the defense of our country and to attain
  peace throughout the world.
• The fourth fold represents our weaker
  nature.  We turn to God in times of peace,
  as well as in times of war, for divine guidance.
• The fifth fold is made as a tribute to our
  country in dealing with other countries,
  may she always be right; but is still our
  country right or wrong.
• The sixth fold represents where our hearts
  lie.  It is with our hearts that we pledge
  allegiance to the flag of the United States of
  America, and to the Republic for which it
  stands, one nation under God, indivisible,
  with liberty and justice for all.
• The seventh fold is made in tribute to our
  our armed forces.   It is these brave men and
  women who protect our country against
  her enemies, foreign or domestic.
• The eighth fold is in honor of mothers, for
  whom the flag flies on Mother’s Day.
• The ninth fold is a tribute to woman hood.
  The faith, love, loyalty, and devotion of
  women helped to mold the character of
  countless men and women who have made this
  nation great.
• The tenth fold is a tribute to fathers.  They, too,
  have given their sons and daughters for the
  defense of our country.
• The eleventh fold represents the lower
  portion of the seal of Kind David and
  King Solomon, glorifying the God of
  Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
• The twelfth fold represents an emblem
  of eternity and glorifies God the
  Father, God the Son, and God the
  Holy Spirit.
• The thirteenth fold brings the stars
  uppermost, reminding us of our nation’s
  motto, “In God We Trust.”

When our flag is completely folded, it takes
on the appearance of a tri-corner hat,
reminding us of the soldiers who served under
General George Washington, the sailors and
marines who served under Captain John Paul
Jones, and all who followed in the U.S. armed
forces. They have preserved the rights,
privileges, and freedoms we enjoy and celebrate
today.

So you can imagine the outrage to those of us who love
freedom and our country, and the many veterans who
fought, sacrificed, and gave so much in the defense
of this great nation to see the American flag
descrated with Obama’s face replacing the field of
stars at the Democratic Headquarters in Florida,
and to observe some idiot Obama supporter proudly
displaying the Obama flag.

“Who will help me plant my wheat?” asked the little red hen.

“Not I,” said the cow.

“Then I will do it by myself.” She planted her crop and the wheat grew
and ripened.

She baked five loaves and held them up for all of her neighbors to see.
They wanted some and, in fact, demanded a share but the little red hen
said, “No, I shall eat all five loaves.”

And they all painted ‘Unfair!’ picket signs and marched around and
around the little red hen, shouting obscenities.

Then the farmer (Obama) came He said to the little red hen, “You must
not be so greedy.”

“But I earned the bread,” said the little red hen.

“Exactly,” said Barack the farmer. “That is what makes our free
enterprise system so wonderful. Anyone in the barnyard can earn as much
as he wants. But under our modern government regulations, the
productive workers must divide the fruits of their labor with those who
are lazy and idle.”

And they all lived happily ever after, including the little red hen,
who smiled and clucked, “I am grateful, for now I truly understand.”

But her neighbors became quite disappointed in her. She never again
baked bread because she joined the ‘party’ and got her bread free. And
all the Democrats smiled. ‘Fairness’ had been established.

Individual initiative had died but nobody noticed; perhaps no one cared
so long as there was free bread that ‘the rich’ were paying for.

EPILOGUE

Bill Clinton is getting $12 million for his memoirs.

Hillary got $8 million for hers.

That’s $20 million for the memories from two people, who for eight
years repeatedly testified, under oath, that they couldn’t remember
anything.

and Bank of America may finally have an agreement

with the US government and States  to resolve the alleged abuses

involving bank foreclosures.   The banks will be paying some

fines as well as gaining credits for helping homeowners facing

foreclosures.   Investors backing the loans may also be required

to take a hit by settling for less or may benefit if banks turn

nonperforming loans back into performing loans.  Five percent

or about 500,000 homeowners may benefit from this 25 billion

dollar settlement.   Three billion dollars will be made available to

help with Principal Balance Reductions.   Until now banks have been

dragging their feet regarding reducing mortgages for homes that 

have had significant drops in market value.  So both servicing companies

and banks will be having to consider principal balance reductions for homes

underwater as well as short sales and deed-in-lieus in place of foreclosures.

 The loan modifications will help homeowners obtain affordable and

reasonable new mortgage payments.  Homeowners foreclosed

upon will also not readily receive deficiency judgements from banks.

Overall, this settlement looks fairly good for resolving the issue and

could help to improve the stability of the real estate industry.

China has been buying up Gold reserves
and has been encouraging its citizenry to buy
as much gold as they can. In China, one can
walk into a gold store to not buy gold jewelry,
but to buy cute little gold bars. In essence,
the yuan will be backed by gold as the dollar,
once was.

Obviously, we have no leadership in
Washington DC who cares about the dollar except
for may be Ron Paul. He’s been right from day
one except for his crazy foreign policy. We
took the dollar off of the gold standard and
have spent into oblivion. Now, it will be the
yuan not the dollar that will be wanted and
valued and the standard.

No wonder O’bama is going around the
world apologizing, because he knows the U.S.,
Europe, and the few friends we have left will
be having to suck up to the Chinese for debt
forgiveness like Greece is doing now. We will
also be begging Iran and Brazil for oil since
our dollars will be worthless.

Congress and President O’bama sure
did a great job at spreading the wealth around
not just at home, but also to the other side of
the world. This is the new reality and if the
American public doesn’t wake-up and we have 5
more years of O’bama all of us ugly fat Americans
will soon be living in a hut like President
O’bama’s brothers and cousins. The melt down
and crisis is here with a very bleak future.

Over time, one can obtain numerous drugs which
combined or mixed together makes for a great
suicidal drug cocktail. I know, because I
have a family member who has multiple sclerosis.
She now has pills for the following: (Note:
None of these medicines will cure MS only control
or provide some relief.)

pills to ease the pain
pills to ease anxiety
pills to ease nauseum
pills to prevent ulcers
pills to make her happy
pills to improve spasticity
pills to control her urine flow
pills to stop MS episodes (steroids)
drops to help with dry eyes
a shot for protein

I can’t even guess what the side
effects are — let alone when mixed
together. Then there are the overcounter
drugs like Ibuprofen and numerous vitamins,
and in Michigan one can legally add medical
marijuana to the mix.

To get a prescriptive drugs one simply goes to
the doctor, but a patient who is in pain, addicted or
dissatisfied with a doctor will visit many doctors
until they find one who will help them or give them
what they “want.”  Each new and old doctor asks
the new patient what drugs they are currently taking
and the doctors have to rely on the patient’s “truthful”
response.  Evidently, there is no central historical
record of all drugs prescribed.  Maybe with Obamacare
there will be, but for now people change insurance
companies, pharmacies, hosiptals, clinics and doctors
all of the time and may visit other States to boot
so it is probably impossible at this time to keep track
of all the prescriptive drugs prescribed to an individual.

If one has a lot of money or is on medicare or medicaid
it is probably easier than ever to get drugs. Think about
this, Government would like the disabled and seniors who
no longer contribute to society to go away and die. It is
too expensive to keep you alive. To ensure this, long ago
the American Psychic was formed and trained into believing
that a “pill” or a prescriptive medicine can cure
whatever ails them. The politicians also forgot
to close the “southern” door. They are leaving it wide
open to allow for the flow of illegal drugs. After
all, the American people demand for drugs is at an all
time high. I would like to do a study on the amount of
drug use as it relates to the past and current economy.

Sure, there have been some miracle drugs and vaccines
but most drugs taken only help to mask our health and
our economic problems. Whitney Houston and Michael
Jackson I hear both were addicted to drugs and had
financial difficulties.

There is though still hope for the living. Rumors are
that there is a cancer and MS cure around the corner.
More importantly, it is interesting that more and more
people are turning back to nature to cure their cancers
diseases, and also to strengthen their immune systems.
However, the public rarely hears this. The masses
continue to love and believe in their “Western” drugs,
and so the vicious cycle continues as doctors keep
writing prescriptions and the drug pushers keep peddling
their wares on every street corner in America. Hope
and change though is in the air, because as medical and
insurance costs skyrocket people will be forced to turn
to nature. It’s what they will be able to afford.

P.S. For you conservatives be happy, the free market in the
end reigns again! Michelle O’bama will be happy too, because
we will all be drinking and eating healthier. O’bama might cry and
complain though, because our bodies will be strong and
finally immune to the left…but it’s all Bush’s fault.

P.P.S. Cheers our suffering and pain will be over as America
wakes up to this administration’s destructive cocktail.
Perhaps even Hollywood might help to spread the word as they
see their own pocketbooks shrinking and the need for
limiting drug use among their friends and peers.

border.   To win the next presidential election
O’bama will personally have to be attacked as he
demonstrates so well in attacking every front
runner of the GOP Party.   This is how he
was taught to win – typical of Chicago politics.

So, if you want to beat President O’bama, the
campaign must get nasty and personal. One
cannot be polite and politically correct and
expect to win. Newt is probably the only
candidate who can run this type of campaign. He
can directly point the finger like Jan
Brewer did so well.
